Overview
Lok Rakshak is a civic technology platform being developed under WINIKS Apps that connects citizens directly with emergency services and local responders. It enables rapid incident reporting, real-time status tracking, and coordinated response systems — built to reduce critical response delays in emergencies.
Problem
In India, emergency response suffers from a critical disconnect between citizens and services. People don't know who to call, which agency handles what, or whether their report has been received. Duplication, delays, and the inability to track response status cost lives.
Solution
Lok Rakshak provides a unified, location-aware interface for citizens to report emergencies (fire, medical, crime, disaster) and receive real-time updates. On the responder side, it provides a coordination dashboard for agencies to receive, prioritize, and track incidents — closing the loop between citizen and service.
